Introduction:Power system planning is part of a more general problem, that of energy and economic development planning. Its objective is therefore to determine a minimum cost strategy for long-range expansion of the generation, transmission and distribution systems adequate to supply the load forecast within a set of technical, economic and political constraints.
Objectives:
By the end of the course the participant will be able to:
• Apply their knowledge, skills and values (competences) so developed during training to new and demanding industrial situation.
• Apply skills acquired in planning of generation, transmission and distribution systems in power utilities.
• Apply skills acquired in this course in order to improve services rendered to other departments in utilities

Engineers, system planners and other suitably qualified personnel.
